As a restored, historic theater right in the center of Chicago’s historic Hyde Park neighborhood, The Harper Theater is a space where community happens. Therefore, we have woven an artisanal café & coffee shop option right into your film-going experience at The Harper Theater by launching The Harper Theater Café.

Chicago is a city full of coffee shops and cafes, coffee roasters and other specialist artisanal producers. It’s a culture that thrives in this city and we’re making that integral to The Harper Theater experience. We serve beans from Chicago’s own specialty roaster, Metropolis Coffee Company, using top-of-the-line equipment and professional baristas to make sure your beverage experience is equal to your cinematic experience.

The Café serves tea and coffee, iced or hot.  Before the show, after the show—during the show—we’ll have you covered. We think you’ll appreciate this unique, café-style approach here at the historic Harper Theater, and we look forward to serving you.​
